What is the ACE program?

The ACE program is a new way of submitting your trucking manifest electronically to customs directly.

Do I have to use E-Manifests?

Yes. Currently all container vessels, air cargo and railcars have been in compliance for three years. Trucking shipments are the last to come on board. Everyone who carries goods into the United States will be required (on Jan. 25, 2007) to submit their manifests electronically. All border crossing locations now require an Electronic Manifest for your crossing. 

Do I have to purchase a program for this new process?

No. CBP(Customs and Border Protection ) offers a free program to use. You must sign up for the program, for a client representative and complete all certification testing.  There are also companies like ours who will do this for you for a small fee.

Are there any services currently being offered for this new process?

Yes! ACE/E-Manifest Solutions will gladly take the burden of this new step off your shoulders by submitting your manifests for you. We offer a wide variety of accounts based on your shipping volume.  Ranging from One Time Crossing to a total company sign up.  We can even cover companies with multipule locations and crossing points.
